Tough times in a tough economy hardly give a newly divorced woman (Michael Learned) anything to sing about at her new church choir amidst a new start. Hardships compound when a new choirmaster (John Houseman) takes the reins with a Christmas concert deadline and high expectations. Christmas sweets mix with a Grumpy Old Man to make this Christmas movie treat.

A woman heads to San Francisco with her son for a fresh start after a divorce. After settling in with her new church choir, she has second thoughts from dealings with the strict new choir master who attempts to prepare a fairly inexperienced group for the Christmas concert. Personalities conflict as each has their own tune, but can they overcome their indifferences to sing in harmony?
